Yesterday evening, November 11, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred in Dachau that injured four people. At around 6:30 p.m., a 76-year-old VW driver from Munich tried to ignore the right of way of an 18-year-old BMW driver from Dachau, which led to a collision at the junction of Daimlerstrasse and Alte Römerstrasse. Both vehicles suffered total economic loss, estimated at around 8,000 euros for the VW and 50,000 euros for the BMW. The fire brigade was deployed to secure the scene of the accident and redirect traffic.

The injured include the 76-year-old driver, who sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, and her passenger, who was also transported to hospital with minor injuries. The young BMW driver also suffered minor injuries, while his passenger was unharmed. The incident meant that the Alte Römerstrasse had to be closed for around two hours in order to carry out the accident investigation, rescue and cleaning.
