Niedergesäß again as district administrator candidate for the CSU – 94.5% approval!

Robert Niedergesäß, the current district administrator of the Ebersberg district, will again be nominated by the CSU as the top candidate for the 2026 local elections. With an impressive approval rating of 94.5 percent of the vote, he was elected at the meeting in Pliening, where a total of 60 district council candidates were nominated. This event, led by CSU district chairman Thomas Huber, marked a further step towards the election campaign and created the basis for the challenges ahead.

The motivation behind the nomination is clear: Niedergesäß wants to start his third term in office. He has already proven himself to be a capable politician in the past and stands for citizen-oriented politics that creates trust among citizens. His plans for the coming years focus on key issues affecting the district: schools, medical care, mobility and social cohesion. These priorities are necessary to sustainably improve the quality of life in the Ebersberg district.

Diversity of candidates on the district council list

The incumbent’s successes to date cannot be overlooked. In addition to his challenges, such as the recent criticism of his handling of taxpayers' money, Niedergesäß has also shown his skills in crisis situations. Thomas Huber spoke of the positive developments in the school and bus infrastructure that Niedergesäß has promoted. The balanced district council list includes candidates from all 21 cities and municipalities in the district, including 20 women - four of them even in the top ten places. The Junge Union is also involved with eleven representatives, supplemented by nine incumbent mayors and several mayoral candidates.

Historical election campaigns and support

Niedergesäß looks back on an impressive political career. In 2001 he was elected mayor of Vaterstetten before running for Ebersberg district administrator in 2013 and prevailing in an exciting runoff against the SPD candidate Ernst Böhm with 51 to 49 percent. In the last election in 2020, he achieved 60.9 percent in the first round and thus prevailed again. The Ebersberg Regional Association is confident and will support Niedergesäß in the coming election campaign in order to continue the successful cooperation.

Preparations for the 2026 local elections are in full swing, and the CSU has taken a decisive step towards election victory with its nomination. At a time when many communities are pushing for change, Niedergesäß, with his experience and commitment, could be the right man for the challenges of the future.
