Lufthansa is expanding its route network at Munich Airport and bringing a breath of fresh air to the travel plans of Cologne residents and travelers from the entire region. From October 26, 2025, a non-stop connection from Munich to Riyadh will be offered. The new flight LH640 departs three times a week at 9:45 p.m. and arrives in Riyadh at 4:50 a.m. local time the following day. The return flight from 6:25 a.m. takes passengers back to Munich at 10:25 a.m. Lufthansa uses the modern Airbus A350-900 for this route, which is highly valued for its comfort.
A historical connection
What is particularly noteworthy is that Lufthansa will celebrate the 65th anniversary of its first flight to Saudi Arabia in 2025. With this new connection, the Lufthansa Group's cooperation with Eurowings and ITA Airways becomes even clearer, as they will jointly offer 22 weekly flights to the Saudi Arabian destinations of Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah.
