Erlangen celebrates: 20,000 visitors at the great Siemens Campus Festival!
There was a lot going on on the Siemens campus in Erlangen last Saturday! With more than 20,000 enthusiastic visitors, the Siemens Campus Festival was a huge success. The event took place on the area around Günther-Scharowsky-Straße and transformed the campus's normally quiet weekend into a hustle and bustle. Over 50 attractions ensured that young and old would never get bored. From a concert by the popular band Sportfreunde Stiller to exciting racing car simulations and participatory activities by the 43 Siemens leisure communities, there was something for everyone. The demonstrations by the police, Bavarian Red Cross, THW and the Siemens factory fire department were also very well received.
Atmospheric street artists and numerous musical acts entertained the audience on several stages. The “Siemens Got Talent” competition was particularly popular, in which bands and artists from among employees gave their best. Ralf P. Thomas, CFO of Siemens AG, warmly welcomed the guests and emphasized the immense importance of the employees for the company.
A feast for all senses
To round off the experience, over 400 helpers were also on duty, including colleagues, police and fire departments. The physical well-being was well taken care of: numerous food trucks and drink stations offered impressive catering. A total of 22,000 bratwursts, 6 tons of fries and 30,000 mini ice creams were served, while visitors treated themselves to 30,000 liters of non-alcoholic drinks. The motto of the festival was: “Where people and ideas grow together” and offered insights into digital and innovative solutions from the various Siemens areas.
Overall, the guests experienced a celebration full of joy, where the atmosphere invited them to linger and celebrate. It was the perfect combination of technology, entertainment and cuisine.
