Kirchweih in Bruck: closures and diversions from June 24th!
The anticipation in Erlangen-Bruck is increasing because the fair is just around the corner! From June 27th to 30th, 2025, Felix-Klein-Straße in the Bruck district will become a festival mile that extends to the Evangelical Church of Peter and Paul. Visitors can expect a colorful mix of rides and amusement shops as well as numerous snack stands that will provide excellent culinary delights. The main attraction is the large festival tent, in which the focus is on convivial celebrations. Young and old are warmly invited to celebrate celebrations together. Opening times are from Friday to Saturday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m., on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on Monday again from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. For detailed information you can visit the website www.erlangen.de.
However, there are some traffic restrictions so that the fair can be celebrated properly. Felix-Klein-Straße will be closed to all traffic from Tuesday, June 24th, from 3 p.m. until July 1st, also from 3 p.m. This measure also affects the city bus routes. Line 294 will be rerouted via Outer-Brucker-Straße and Paul-Gossen-Straße before returning to the regular route at the Bruck Kirche stop. Unfortunately, the Buckenhofer Weg and Fürstenweg stops cannot be served in both directions. Bruck Kirche and the Buckenhofer Weg stop on line 284, located towards the city center, are available as replacement stops.
Special bus trips during the festive season
A special service is also offered during the fair. The school trip at 1:09 p.m. in the direction of Volckamerstrasse will include a loop trip via the Eichendorffschule stop on the holidays. In addition, during the big parade on Sunday, June 29th, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., a temporary diversion is planned for city bus line 285, which runs via Paul-Gossen-Straße and Günther-Scharowsky-Straße to the Max-Planck-Straße stop.
The Kirchweih in Erlangen-Bruck is part of a whole series of festivals in Erlangen that take place throughout the year. The Bergkirchweih, for example, maintains its tradition at Pentecost and the city district church fairs are being planned over the summer months, including Kriegenbrunn and Büchenbach. An exciting year for festival fans in the region!
