Cultural highlights in Forchheim: Music festival with Tribubu inspires!
Next Saturday, July 5th, the inner courtyard of the Imperial Palace in Forchheim will be the setting for a special musical event. The main concert as part of the Africa Culture Days starts at 8 p.m., organized by the Junges Theater Forchheim in collaboration with the city of Forchheim and supported by the Sparkasse. The world music band “Tribubu” will ensure an unforgettable experience this evening.
But what is behind the name “Tribubu”? The term combines Spanish and Bambara roots, with “Tribu” (tribe) and “sababou” (I am here because of you) expressing a philosophy that represents community and cohesion. The band consists of four members: Brahima Diabate from Ivory Coast, Dani Torres, Lucas Bárcena and Victor Tugores from Spain, who have come together as a unit with their different cultural backgrounds. Their music, a vibrant mix of rumba, afro and folk fusion, reflects these values and is accompanied by rhythmic sounds that often come from the rich tradition of African music.
A sound experience with African roots
Tribubu's performance is enriched by Brahima Diabate's playing on the balafon, a traditional xylophone from West Africa. These instruments are deeply rooted in the culture and contribute to the band's unique timbre. The music becomes not only a concert, but also an embodiment of social and cultural identity. African rhythms are known for their complex structure, which plays with different rhythmic patterns and has influenced genres such as jazz, blues and rumba over the centuries. The band will reinterpret both their own compositions and well-known classics, expressing their lively, positive energy.
Ticket prices for this extraordinary event are 21.90 euros in advance with a reduced price of 16.40 euros. The price at the box office is 24.40 euros; the reduced ticket costs 18.90 euros. Tickets are available at all Reservix ticket offices as well as at the Kefferstein Lotto acceptance point in Forchheim and online at jtf.de available.
A musical message of unity and peace
“Tribubu” offers more than just music – the group sings in different languages about topics such as unity, peace and current social issues. With their philosophy of freedom and a borderless community, the band sets a strong example for cultural harmony and cooperation. Their performance is not only a celebration of music, but also a call for social connection and respectful cooperation.
The Africa Culture Days are a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the diverse and vibrant sounds of Africa, which not only reach the ears but also the heart. Be there when the Imperial Palace is filled with the rhythms and melodies of “Tribubu” on July 5th. It promises to be a special evening not to be missed!
