District league start: FCA Unterbruck and FC Moosburg face new challenges!
The women's football season in the district league is underway again and is bringing a breath of fresh air to the pitch. The various teams are scratching their hooves and have prepared intensively for the challenges ahead. The teams from FCA Unterbruck, FC Moosburg and SG Freising United in particular have a lot planned.
FCA Unterbruck has set itself the goal of landing in the secure midfield. Coach Norbert Mößmer sees the coming season as a transition season and makes it clear that the club management is keeping an eye on the team's development. However, the club has to complain about personnel losses, in particular the end of the career of goalkeeper Nadine Esterl and the injury of top scorer Lena Zaindl make it clear that the challenge is great. Despite these setbacks, there is a breath of fresh air: Amalie Kislinger and Franziska Schmid are moving up from their own youth team to the women's division, and soccer newcomer Sophia Scholz is also being integrated into the team. The intensive preparation, which began at the beginning of August, included five test and cup games, including some tricky defeats against district league teams.
FC Moosburg: A look up
FC Moosburg seems to have started the season with positive energy. Despite a heavy 1:6 defeat in Geroldshausen in the first round, the team managed to regain momentum in the following game with a 2:1 win against SG TSV Rohrbach/FC Geisenfeld. Coach Annika Lindhorst sees her team's potential to reach the top three, but also emphasizes the need for tactical improvements. With new additions and returnees, the personnel situation has improved significantly, and the preparatory game against Freising United ended with a convincing 4-2 win.
Moosburg's opening opponent, SV Karlskron, is supposedly an easier task, but it remains to be seen how the team will perform over the course of the season. The next game against bottom team SF Steinsdorf could be an important match in order not to lose touch with the top of the table. Lindhorst also sees chances for a clear win here, especially after the last game in which the team showed progress.
SG Freising United: Let’s return
SG Freising United has fought its way back into the district league after a year in the district league and now wants to secure relegation. Coach Christoph Bosch is optimistic and firmly believes that his team can get the points they need to avoid relegation. Here too, the preparation was intensive, with a focus on fitness and ball control. Test matches against SpVgg Steinkirchen and FC Moosburg show the progress, even if the loss of player Elina Rastl is seen as a difficult setback. However, three new additions from the U17 should strengthen the squad and underline their claim to stay in the league.
The first games of the season have already provided information about the strength of the teams. Next weekend there are exciting encounters that could decide on further developments in the league: Unterbruck meets SG DJK Ingolstadt/SV Wettstetten, while Moosburg and Freising United have to assert themselves against Karlskron and ST Scheyern. The signs are definitely pointing to change and it remains to be seen which team can prevail this season.
An exciting competition is guaranteed and the fans can look forward to exciting games. The goals in this district league will certainly come again!
