Late on Wednesday evening, July 3, 2025, there was a spectacular incident on the Main-Danube Canal near Fürth. At around 10:10 p.m. a passenger ship collided with the Fürberg Steg Bridge. Thankfully, there were no injuries among the approximately 80 passengers or the 40-person crew.
