A winter highlight is just around the corner: it opens from November 6th to 9th, 2025 Eyrichshof Castle its gates to the ninth edition of the popular “Winterzeit” event. Handicrafts, culinary delights and a variety of entertainment are on the program and promise a great experience for the whole family.

On the four days of the event, visitors can view the festively decorated rooms of the castle. The opening times are from Thursday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission costs 14 euros for adults, while children up to 15 years of age can take part free of charge. There is a reduced price of 12 euros for people with a severely disabled person's ID card. If you want to attend the entire event, you can purchase a season ticket for 26 euros.

A colorful program for all age groups

The winter season not only offers arts and crafts, but also has a lot to offer for the little ones. A special highlight is “Ladies Day” on the first day of the event, where women are invited to a reduced entry fee of 10 euros. The attractions begin on Thursday at 2 p.m. with making lanterns for the subsequent light procession, which starts at 5 p.m. This is accompanied by music and creates a contemplative atmosphere.

For the adventurous there is one Ghost hunting in the attic of the castle, which will take place on Friday and the following days. Young explorers can take part here for 3 euros. There will also be a nostalgic children's carousel in the Westhof, which not only looks nostalgic but is also a lot of fun.

Music and art in focus

The cultural offering is rounded off by soprano Bettina Meiners, who presents opera arias and classical songs. In addition, several live bands, such as the duo “M & M” and the band “Droptune”, ensure an exciting atmosphere. In addition, the castle constantly hosts art exhibitions by well-known artists, including Adriano Pompa and Alice Kiehn, which provide special insights into the world of contemporary art.

To ensure that culinary enjoyment is not neglected, there are numerous stands with gifts for every taste. From regional delicacies to handmade products and festive treats: everyone will find what they are looking for here. There is also a varied supporting program with juggling and fire shows as well as demonstrations in the castle forge.

Shuttle buses are available for arrival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and free parking is available nearby. Dogs are welcome on a leash, so four-legged friends can also take part in this festive event.
