New momentum at 1860: Six new recruits start training today!
On June 22nd, 2025 the time has finally come: TSV 1860 Munich will start the long-awaited preparation for the 2025/26 season at 2 p.m. Coach Patrick Glöckner will lead the lions onto the field at Grünwalder Straße 114 on this special day. There are also six new faces on board, including prominent returnees such as Kevin Volland and Florian Niederlechner. Kilian Jakob will also join the team, while another newcomer, Voet, will also be introduced. Fans can follow how the new team will present itself in the live ticker provided, which offers exciting insights into the first training session.
But that's just the beginning! The preparations for the coming weeks already look promising. On July 6th, the Lions will go to training camp in Ulrichsberg, Upper Austria. The team will be accommodated and trained in the Dreihans Arena, while the accommodation is in the INNs HOLZ Hotel & Chaletdorf in the picturesque Mühlviertel region. The training camp will last until July 13th and there will be several test matches on the program, including two against SV Ried and Slovan Liberec. VfL place in the table is also an issue, as last season ended for the sixties with an 11th place in the 3rd league.
Test games and fan festival
The preparation phase is peppered with further appointments. The first test match is scheduled for June 28th, against TSV 1862 Grafenau. TSV Weyarn will also be on the schedule on June 29th, followed by a match against FC Eintracht Bamberg on July 4th, who are considered the first team in the higher division. The team will then go back to the training camp in order to optimally prepare for the upcoming tasks.
A very special event is also waiting for the fans: on July 20th there will be a big fan festival on Grünwalder Straße. From 9:30 a.m. Lions supporters can come together to support their team and prepare for the new season. With carefully designed preparation, which also includes the fan view of the start of training, TSV 1860 Munich is trying to prepare optimally for the new season. As is well known, the league action will begin on the first weekend in August. The Lions could experience an exciting summer and look forward to the new challenges in the 3rd league.
