What's happening in Kaufbeuren? On November 14th and 15th, 2025 it's finally that time again: The enchanting event "Old Town Sparkle - Kaufbeuren shines & Candle Light Shopping" will transform the old town into a veritable sea of ​​lights from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The shops welcome numerous visitors and are open until 10 p.m. on Fridays and until 8 p.m. on Saturdays. Here you can not only get the last gifts, but also enjoy the festive atmosphere.

A lot of work is being done before the event. Preparations start on Wednesday and Thursday, while most of the setup for the event takes place on Friday. Drivers beware: Between November 14th, 6 a.m., and November 16th, 12 p.m., no-parking zones will apply on several streets, including Sedanstrasse, Ludwigstrasse and Hafenmarkt. In addition, traffic closures will be set up on Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the areas described such as Rosental and Schmiedgasse.
