Closures and festive mood: Kulmbach Old Town Festival 2025 starts today!

Things are getting colorful in the picturesque old town of Kulmbach: from July 4th to 6th, 2025, the historical backdrop will be transformed into a lively music and culinary stage. However, drivers should expect some restrictions. There will be major closures and diversions in the city center area from July 3rd to July 7th, 2025. The EKU square is particularly affected, as it remains closed for the beer week due to tent construction work. The parking areas in the Upper City will also not be usable from July 2nd at 7 a.m. Driving on Buchbindergasse will be severely restricted from July 3rd - only residents and delivery traffic are allowed to pass by. • Schießgraben: Ab 3. Juli, 7 Uhr Halteverbot, außer am Sonntag, 6. Juli, von 7.30 bis 12 Uhr.
• Einbahnstraßenregelung in der Karl-Jung-Straße: Nur stadtauswärts ab 3. Juli, 7 Uhr.
• Spitalgasse: In großen Teilen ab 3. Juli, 7 Uhr Halteverbot, komplette Sperrung in den Bereichen während des Altstadtfirmenlaufs am 6. Juli von 14.45 bis 16.30 Uhr.

The regulation for the Gasfabrikgässchen is particularly noticeable: a stop for the KulmBus-Spezial has been set up here. This special bus runs until late at night on the festive season and serves around 40 stations throughout the city.
