40 years of Röthenbach city festival: A festival of the senses and tradition!
The festive days are approaching in Röthenbach! The 40th city festival promises a colorful program for young and old, which starts on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2 p.m. Rückersdorfer Straße and Neue Mitte at Hubert-Munkert-Platz will be transformed into a cheerful festival area this weekend. As n-land.de reports, the opening will be celebrated with cannon shots and a standing concert by the city band and guests can look forward to a traditional beer tapping by Mayor Klaus Hacker and Peter Pauly, the chairman of the club cartel.
The variety of stalls will satisfy all taste buds. Culinary highlights include Turkish specialties, grilled food, roasts, shashlik and lángos, which are offered at the stands of the local clubs. There are also sweet treats such as waffles and crepes, which can be enjoyed in the festive atmosphere of the city festival. Such events are not only a delight for gourmets, but also strengthen our local economy and promote exchange between locals and tourists, as themenchronik.de emphasizes.
Music and entertainment
Two bands will provide musical entertainment and will perform on the main stage on both Saturday and Sunday. The crowning conclusion of the city festival is the “Räinbooch Allstar Band” on Sunday evening. On both days there is a varied music program along Rückersdorfer Straße, which ensures a good atmosphere on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The “Saitensprunger unplugged” in particular bring joy to all visitors at the morning pint on Sunday from 11 a.m.
Diversity for the little ones
The children don't miss out either: At the entrance to the celebration mile, the children's world awaits the little guests with numerous attractions, including a swing ship, a carousel, a climbing wall, a bouncy castle and the popular "duck fishing" station. A very special highlight is the surprise with a “fairytale character” on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., which will make children's eyes shine. Unfortunately, the children's Trempelmarkt is canceled this year, but the anticipation for the other attractions remains great.
Preparations are in full swing and Rückersdorfer Straße will be closed from Friday, June 20th, 5 p.m. until the end of the festival. A diversion will be put in place to make it easier for visitors to travel. It is a wonderful festival that not only strengthens community but also celebrates the region's cultural and gastronomic traditions. Maybe the city festival in Röthenbach will be the next big highlight in the city's calendar list, which is already showing anticipation and pride.
