Artificial intelligence in everyday life: Free lecture in Lohr!
In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has rapidly gained in importance and has now become an integral part of our everyday lives. Anyone who is interested in the background and the diverse possible uses of AI now has the opportunity to take part in an exciting lecture. On Monday, November 10, 2025, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., the BayernLab at Erthalstrasse 1 in Lohr am Main invites everyone interested to find out more about this highly topical topic. The event is organized by the Main-Spessart District Office for Senior Citizens' Work under the direction of Monika Rothagen and is free of charge.
The lecture will explain to participants what AI actually is, how it works and what opportunities and dangers are associated with its integration in various areas of life. It is already noticeable that AI is playing an increasingly important role in medicine, in companies and at home. However, challenges can also arise, such as biases in the algorithms that can arise due to poor data, which could have far-reaching effects on decisions in areas such as job allocation or lending, as well European Parliament describes.
Free registration until November 6th
The number of participants is limited, which is why early registration is advisable. Interested parties can contact us by email at the latest by November 6, 2025 Seniors@lramsp.de or register by phone at 09353 / 793-1146. This gives everyone the chance to gain insights into the world of artificial intelligence and learn how important it is to use this technology responsibly.
But where there is shadow, there is also light. The discussion about AI is not only about the risks, such as surveillance processes or the creation of deepfakes, which can endanger democracy. Rather, it also opens up numerous opportunities that well-planned AI applications can bring in a wide variety of areas. A healthy balance and the right legislation that promotes safe and ethical use of AI are therefore essential to reap the benefits of this technology and minimize the risks.
It is all the more important to use events like this to learn more about the mechanisms behind AI and to actively participate in the discussion about its role in our future. After all, the future is not just a technical issue, but also a social issue.
Finally, we would also like to point out the wide range of topics that will be addressed in the lecture. In addition to the fundamental questions about how AI works, it will also address the challenges that this technology brings with it. Stop by and bring your questions!
