New hope for Miesbach: Leader funding brings a breath of fresh air!
In Weyarn there is good news from the Leader program, which is strongly committed to the development of rural areas. Loud Mercury After some turbulent times, the processing of funding applications is running smoothly again. The pump track, a highlight among the funded projects, shows how actively the initiative can provide new impetus for the region.
The challenges in processing the application were enormous and led to noticeable delays in the EU funding program. Michael Stacheter, the leader manager, reports that the situation is now under control again thanks to an increase in personnel in the Rosenheim agricultural office. Improved communication between leader management and the responsible authorities should help to avoid future delays and ensure faster processing.
Digital transition and new funding opportunities
Another important step is the digitalization of application management. From now on, all funding applications will only be entered digitally in order to minimize incomplete submissions. Lead times for projects can be up to a year, which is a test of patience for many applicants. Important to know: Old projects must be completed by the end of the year.
A total of around 1.8 million euros is available for the funding period 2023 to 2027. Five projects have already been approved, while six more are in the process of being applied for. By the way, those interested can visit the homepage www.leader-mb.de View the current status of the projects. However, Anastasia Stadler from the CSU noted that the visibility of the information could still be improved.
Small projects and cost efficiency
An exciting element of the program are the small projects, which can receive up to 2,500 euros per application. These are intended not only to strengthen the region's innovative strength, but also to enable broader citizen participation. It is all the more important that the possibilities are fully exploited in the second half of the funding period.
Speaking of financing: What is interesting is that in the new funding period, applicants no longer have to submit invoices or payment receipts to determine the eligible expenses for buildings. Instead, the expenses are determined based on fixed unit costs, which come into play, for example, in the case of conversions or comprehensive renovations.
For everyone who is thinking about submitting an application, the following applies: From November 13, 2024, a cost rate of EUR 2,068 per m² will come into force for new applications and permits. For those entitled to deduct input tax, this reduced cost rate is EUR 1,737.82 per m². The exact details can be found in the “Information sheet on the application of unit costs for buildings for conversions or comprehensive renovations”, which is available on the website of the Saxon Ministry of Agriculture can be found.
In summary, the Leader program represents a good deal for rural development in Weyarn. It remains exciting to see what projects and ideas will develop from these funds in the coming years.
