Maren Fütterer and Andreas Klaffke: Unanimously confirmed as Green bosses!

The district members meeting of Alliance 90/The Greens took place on November 8, 2025 in the “Hällele” clubhouse in Heidersbach. At this meeting, Maren Fütterer and Andreas Klaffke were unanimously confirmed as district chairmen for another two years. Another outstanding point was the re-election of Boris Cotar as district treasurer, all without a dissenting vote, which reflects the great trust of the members. So reported my-news.de.

Looking back on the past two years revealed both challenges and successes. Although there were bitter losses in the 2025 local elections compared to 2019, the Greens were able to celebrate entry into the Buchen city council with a double-digit result. The city council faction in Mosbach was also confirmed. However, Horst Berger, a committed player in the federal election campaign, had to be content with an election result that fell short of expectations.

Membership development and cash report

Fortunately, the number of members of the district association has increased and is now around 155. The regular events include the “Green Regulars’ Tables” in Buchen and Mosbach, which certainly contribute to stimulating political discourse. Boris Cotar's cash report showed that despite intensive campaign activities, a solid net worth was achieved. The auditors certified exemplary financial management, and the entire board was unanimously discharged.

Michael Moormann was responsible for election management, and the executive board once again received the trust of the members for the next two years. The focus is now on the upcoming state election campaign, in which state parliament candidate Arno Meuter and Cem Özdemir will play a central role.

New board and future events

Amelie Pfeiffer, who decided not to run again, was removed from the board after eight years. Ulrike Klaffke, Ralf Kurasch and Christof Mölkner are new to the board, while Horst Berger has been nominated as a delegate for the Federal Delegates Conference in Hanover. Maren Fütterer and Christof Mölkner were also sent to the state delegates' conference in Ludwigsburg.

There are already some exciting events planned for the coming months. Political Ash Wednesday will take place on February 18, 2026, and a campaign closing event with Cem Özdemir as a speaker will be held on March 5, 2026.

The local elections in Germany, which take place regularly, are of central importance because they elect political representatives at the local level and involve citizens directly in the formation of political will. These elections take place every four to six years, depending on the regulations of the respective municipality. Citizens with EU citizenship who live in the municipality and meet the relevant age requirements are eligible to vote. The election procedures and terms of office may differ depending on the federal state. The complexity of local elections offers a good forum for political groups to present their ideas and programs directly to citizens lawyer.org and bpb.de clarify in their own way.
