New coaching team at FC Ehekirchen: Käser and Halbmeyer take over!
FC Ehekirchen is ready to make a new attempt in the national league! On Monday the team begins preparing for the 2025/26 season and the excitement is palpable. With a fresh coaching team consisting of Max Käser and Jonas Halbmeyer, the club is entering an exciting phase. They are supported by Christoph Hollinger, who acts as an assistant coach and is still the team's goal scorer on the pitch. The entire coaching team brings a lot of experience and a wealth of motivation to lead the team to success. The Donaukurier reports.
Max Käser, who was active at FC Ehekirchen in the past, would like to lead the club with a positive attitude and the necessary knowledge. The 31-year-old was coach at TSV Rain until 2023 and now has new ideas for the team after working in northern Germany for a while. On the other side is 28-year-old Jonas Halbmeyer, who missed last season due to an injury, but is now ready to attack and, in parallel with being a coach, also get involved in intensive sports training himself. His signing came on the recommendation of Markus Mattes, who left the club after a short time.
Changes in the squad
In the upcoming season, however, the team will also change due to some departures. Eight regular players are continuing their careers elsewhere, including top scorer Maximilian Schmidt, who scored 18 goals in 34 games last season, and goalkeeper Niklas Gordy. However, the sporting management around Markus Bissinger has already put out feelers for new talent. Matthias Rutkowski returns from SV Wagenhofen, and Luis Pfautsch from SC Ried as well as some promising talents from FC Stätzling's U19 team - Michael Bauer, Matthias Schaff and Metehan Tozakoglu - will also play in Ehekirchen in the new season.
Markus Bissinger emphasizes that the club is still looking for two to three more players who could strengthen the wing positions in particular. That makes the coming season really exciting.
Start of training and test games
The start of training is scheduled for Monday at 6:30 p.m., which not only makes the players but also the fans excited. And soon afterwards the first test match against TSV Weissenburg is scheduled for June 21st. This will provide the opportunity to observe the new faces in the team and get a first impression of the new style of play.
With a new coaching team, a breath of fresh air in the squad and clear goals in mind, the coming season could be a real hit for FC Ehekirchen. Stay tuned for further updates on developments at the club. For the latest information check out Kicker or Transfer market.
