There are days that leave a lasting impression - like August 9, 2025, when a dramatic incident occurred at Schwaltenweiher in the Ostallgäu district. An 11-year-old boy lost his strength while swimming towards a small island and was in danger of drowning in the depths of the water. But two determined siblings, a 13-year-old boy and his 9-year-old sister, took the right course of action in this critical situation. Courageous rescue operation in Hartberg
Interestingly, a similar, courageous rescue operation occurred in Hartberg last week when a 12-year-old boy named Nico suffered an unfortunate impact while jumping into the swimming pool. His 11-year-old cousin David acted quickly, jumped into the water and rescued Nico, who went under. The lifeguards on site immediately recognized the situation and initiated rescue measures.
