The days are getting shorter and November brings not only cool temperatures but also exciting entertainment on the screens. On November 4th, 2025 it's that time again: a new feature film from ARD brings viewers to the island of Usedom. ARD Mediathek reports on the exciting plot that will captivate the viewer.
The focus is on the complex character Karin, portrayed by the talented Katrin Sass. The story unfolds dramatically when Karin takes in an injured woman, played by Valery Tscheplanowa, and her alleged son, played by Oliver Szerkus, during a violent storm. The signs point to more than initially seems: the unknown woman shows signs of abuse that awaken Karin's investigative instincts.
A stormy criminal case
At the same time, Rainer Witt, played by Till Firit, has to deal with a robbery in which the antique dealer Christian Zoschitz (Konrad Singer) was the victim. As the storm sweeps across the island, the pressure on everyone involved is felt. Karin and her friend Merle seek refuge in investigator Witt's house while he remains at the crime scene without support in the raging storm.
The situation escalates further when chaos breaks out in the headquarters: A power outage puts the investigators Ellen (Rikke Lylloff), Holm (Rainer Sellien), Dorit (Jana Julia Roth) and several witnesses in a threatening situation. All of these tensions together promise a thrilling film evening for the audience.
