Gerhard Lösch: Emotional farewell after successful years at FSV
Gerhard Lösch has ended his time at the club after four years as coach at FSV Pfaffenhofen. Looking back, his term in office was a true success story. Under his leadership, the team managed to win the championship title in the North District League and take third place in the Southwest Regional League - the best place in the club's history. Danube Courier reports that Lösch is looking back positively on the season despite the impending farewell to himself and several players.
Boost for the team
It was particularly pleasing that the team was affected by fewer injuries in the second half of the season and was able to field the same starting eleven more often than not. This consistency paid off and Lösch used tactical adjustments to act more defensively when necessary. Special memories that will resonate with many for a long time are the promotion to the state league in 2023, the championship celebration and the two derby wins against Jetzendorf. “That was simply fantastic,” enthuses Lösch. However, saying goodbye was not easy for him. Especially in the last home game, he and the team received the appreciation and gratitude of the fans.
Sustainable plans
Even though Lösch is now leaving his place at FSV Pfaffenhofen, he remains loyal to football and will in future coach VfB Forstinning, which plays in the district league. He has set himself big goals there too: “I plan to build a 'Pfaffenhofen 2.0'” so that the progress he has made in Pfaffenhofen is not lost. Mercury reports that Lösch has a permanent contract with FSV and that he would like to offer the club a perspective for the coming years, with the clear goal of promotion in the near future.
Club structures are changing
The current situation shows how important it is for clubs to adapt and develop innovative concepts. The DFB Academy emphasizes that traditional club structures are often no longer sufficient to master new challenges. The involvement of all club members and a broader offering for all age groups are essential components of future-oriented club strategies. FSV Pfaffenhofen could also benefit from such approaches in order to emerge from this phase not only sportingly but also socially stronger.
The developments surrounding Gerhard Lösch and FSV Pfaffenhofen are an exciting chapter in the local football scene. It remains to be seen what further successes these two sides will achieve in the future.
