125 years of the Taufkirchen Fire Department: A celebration that inspires!

What an occasion! The Taufkirchen volunteer fire department in the Rottal-Inn district celebrated its 125th anniversary with a three-day celebration. How pnp.de reported that on Sunday the comrades welcomed many guests of honor to a large celebration that consisted of an impressive mix of tradition and conviviality.

Detachments from friendly clubs and fire departments arrived as early as 8 a.m. Despite hot temperatures of up to 31 degrees, the parade came to life, led by the Malgersdorf musicians and marching through the town to the soccer field at the kindergarten. A big round of applause accompanied the participating clubs as they enjoyed the festive atmosphere.

Highlight of the celebrations

The highlight of the celebration was the celebratory service, in which Pastor Thomas Richthammer gave a moving sermon about the service of the fire department and faith. The festive moments also included the blessing of the flags of the Taufkirchen fire department and the ladies of the festival by the priest. The mother of the celebration, Barbara Rothmeier, and the mother of mourning, Karin Aigner, gave inspiring speeches. In particular, the Taferlbub boy Johannes Hirl, who spoke his words in front of the audience at the tender age of 8, received a lot of applause for his performance.

Chairman Bernhard Schmid paid tribute to his comrades for their decades of tireless commitment. Mayor Anna Nagl and District Administrator Michael Fahmüller as well as District Fire Officer René Lippeck also took the opportunity to thank the fire department for their excellent performance.

A tradition that connects

Over 70 guest clubs took part in the festival, including numerous guests of honor. The festival ladies in their beautiful, blessed ribbons made for a special eye-catcher in the crowd. In addition to the official program items, such as the church service and the speeches, physical well-being was also taken care of. Festive publications and drinks were on offer, and many visitors enjoyed the conviviality.

The Bonnhof Volunteer Fire Department looked back on its 125th anniversary last year and also celebrated this anniversary with a great festival program from May 31st to June 2nd, 2024. In the words of kfv-ansbach.de Despite the rainy weather, the festival was a complete success, with a varied program for all age groups. And even the festival service found a cozy place in the festival tent, where the mood was raised musically by the band “Spitz af Knopf”.

This shows that the celebrations in both communities not only strengthen the fire department, but also the community. The Bonnhof Volunteer Fire Department also plans to continue to be active in the service of the general public.

It is therefore to be hoped that many such occasions can be celebrated in the future, which so beautifully combine the fire service and the sense of community. The question remains: who will celebrate this tradition next?
