Kassel Huskies: Three important departures shake the club!
The Kassel Huskies have to say goodbye to three familiar faces: Oleg Tschwanow, Simon Thiel and Brent Davis are no longer part of the team. This decision causes deep regret within the Huskies and their loyal following. This is what they report DEL2 and that North Hesse Journal.
Oleg Tschwanow, who moved to the Huskies from EHC Freiburg in 2022, scored 14 points in 102 appearances, including three goals. He also played 33 times for the Hammer Eisbären during this time. Simon Thiel, who only came from Adler Mannheim last season, also leaves a lasting impression. In 55 games he scored eight goals and secured a total of 16 scorer points.
The loss for the team
Brent Davis has been an important figure behind the scenes for the Huskies since 2023 as a team supervisor and equipment manager. He originally came from ESV Bayreuth and worked closely with Fabian Körber to ensure everything ran smoothly within the team. From now on he will work for the Straubing Tigers. The Kassel Huskies warmly thanked Tschwanow, Thiel and Davis for their work and wished them all the best for the future.
But that was just the beginning. Several departures had already been confirmed, including Christopher Gibson, Marc-Olivier Duquette, Yannic Seidenberg, David Wolf, Brandon Cutler, Ryan Olsen, Henri Kanninen and Max Faber. The team will feel these changes in the coming DEL2 season. The lineup will have to change significantly in the future.
New chapter for the Huskies
The Kassel Huskies attach great importance to strengthening their team and now need to sign new players for the upcoming season. It remains to be seen whether they will go on the offensive with a breath of fresh air and new talent. Fans are excited to see which new faces will warm up the team.
A look at the transfers in the league shows that the Düsseldorfer EG can already announce some new additions, including the talented Ryan Olsen from the Kassel Huskies, while the Huskies now have to look for suitable replacement players. Further changes and team acquisitions in the DEL2 are to be expected in order to be prepared for the coming season RP Online reported.
