In a tragic turn of events, a woman was killed by Ukrainian shelling in the Russian-occupied city of Donetsk today. According to information from Alexei Kulemsin, the mayor appointed by Moscow, three other people were also injured. The attack was carried out using an unspecified “long-range weapon” from the Ukrainian military. The front line, which is located around 40 kilometers from Donetsk, once again shows the ongoing conflict in the region.
Ukraine has been resisting the Russian invasion for almost three and a half years now. Donetsk was previously under the control of eastern Ukrainian separatists between 2014 and 2022 and was annexed by Moscow in September 2022, although the region is not fully occupied.
