Peterskirchen celebrates its first win of the season: Exciting derby against Siegsdorf!

An exciting football game took place on August 17, 2025 in the Mörntal Stadium, where TSV Peterskirchen played in the derby against TSV Siegsdorf. With a hard-fought 2-1, Peterskirchen secured its first win of the season in the district football league. Almost 225 spectators experienced an intense match, which was led by referee Christian Schunke, who issued a whopping 13 warnings and one dismissal.

Coach Daniel Winklmaier described the game as tough, but not unfair. Alexander Thusbaß had the first big chance for Peterskirchen in the 15th minute, but it could not be used. On the other hand, Florian Aigner fired a dangerous shot for Siegsdorf, but it was missed by the goalkeeper (30th minute). Other notable actions before half-time came from Alexander Rohde, who scored shortly before the half-time whistle, but was disallowed due to an offside position (45th minute).

Gameplay and highlights

After the half-time break, both teams appeared more offensive. Adrian Furch had a dangerous long-range shot in the 47th minute, but the real breakthrough finally came from Kilian Spiel, who made it 1-0 for Peterskirchen in the 57th minute. Siegsdorf's Maximilian Huber missed the goal with a free kick in the 66th minute. Shortly afterwards, Rohde was again denied by Siegsdorf's goalkeeper König (73rd minute).

A hand penalty for Siegsdorf was taken back in the 76th minute, which heated up tempers on both sides. Jonas Huber made it 2-0 for Peterskirchen in the 79th minute before Marcus Schauberger received a traffic light card in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, Fabian Furch was able to reduce Siegsdorf's lead to 2-1 with a penalty after Christoph Ortner committed a handball in his own penalty area.

Addition time and outlook

Addition time brought a lot of tension as Siegsdorf vehemently pushed for an equalizer, but ultimately failed to score any further goals despite eight minutes of added time. This leaves Siegsdorf waiting for its first win of the season in the Mörntal Stadium, while Peterskirchen looks forward to the challenges ahead.

The next games have already been scheduled: Peterskirchen will face SV Aschau/Inn on August 19th at 7:30 p.m. and Siegsdorf will play against SV Saaldorf on August 20th at 6:15 p.m. Both teams have a lot to prove and spectators can look forward to exciting encounters.
