The atmosphere in the Jakob-Schaumaier-Sportpark was pulsating when SB Chiemgau Traunstein and SVN Munich dueled on matchday 16 of the Southeast Soccer League. Alexander Dreßl could have given Traunstein the lead in the 4th minute, but failed because of the strong SVN keeper Wassim Zormati. Zormati also prevented another goal in the 21st minute with a save when Dreßl's shot was cleared off the line. The Chiemgauer's superiority was obvious, especially after half-time, when Andrii Pelypenko made it 1-0 in the 66th minute. But Ishaq Khalil's equalizer in the 72nd minute came as a surprise to the home fans: a mistake by SBC goalkeeper Christoph Gruber made the guests cheer.

But the SBC was not discouraged. Just four minutes before the end, Genti Krasniqi made it 2-1. An additional setback for SVN Munich was the red card for Jonah Wenzel for an emergency stop, which caused the team problems in the final phase. Despite another chance for Pelypenko, it was a narrow victory for the Traunstein team. Another exciting duel is on the agenda next weekend when the SBC face FC Schwabing Munich, who previously drew against TSV 1880 Wasserburg, with Robin Ungerath scoring the equalizer.
