With thunderstorm cells moving across North Rhine-Westphalia from the southwest, the situation remains serious. The warning levels are clear: Level 2 has been declared for numerous regions, including Gütersloh, Heinsberg and Paderborn. Larger thunderstorm complexes are expected, especially on Sunday night.
DWD forecasts indicate massive rainfall of up to 40 liters per square meter, while local storms can even bring gusts of up to 110 km/h. In the high altitudes the temperatures could even drop to 19 degrees, whereas values around 8 degrees are possible here on Monday night.
