SPD summer festival: mackerel and political cabaret delight Weiden!

The eagerly awaited summer festival of the Weiden West Neu SPD local branch took place last Saturday. The festival attracted numerous visitors and created a good mood on the grounds next to the Rehbühlschule. Above all, the 107 freshly grilled mackerels, prepared by local chairman Herbert Hammer, were a culinary highlight that attracted many guests. Political cabaret was on stage at 3:30 p.m., with the cabaret artists “Rote Mane” and “Schwarze Klaus” shedding light on current issues of local politics in Weiden in a humorous way. Klaus Hartung took on the parody of a CSU deputy, while Manfred Meßner imitated an SPD deputy. The event was rounded off by the colorful dance performances by the Falken Grazie dance group, which delighted the audience twice - at 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Such performances bring zest and joy to the festive society, which was aimed at a cozy get-together.
