YouTube star ChrisTezz unpacks: Fraud and debts by Mr. Zaster!
A very special comeback! Christian Reinhard, better known as “ChrisTezz”, the former YouTube star with over 530,000 subscribers, has returned after a five-year break with an explosive video. As the daily news In this video, he talks about a fraud case that had a significant impact on his life. Reinhard, who now lives back in his parents' house in Absteinach, speaks openly about his experiences with a couple named Zaster who apparently betrayed him. Looking back at his career is riddled with disappointments and massive lies, which appear to be his “biggest mistake”.
It all started with Mr. Zaster in 2016, when they both worked together and built a relationship of trust. But in December 2017, Reinhard became managing director of a company that was founded at Zaster's suggestion. Nevertheless, Reinhard did not inform himself about his duties. What followed was a mess: In January 2020, he received an arrest warrant because he did not disclose his assets. The shock didn't take long to arrive when he discovered that the company account only contained 130 euros and funds had flowed into Ms. Zaster's account.
A desperate way out
The situation deteriorated noticeably. While Reinhard contacted a tax advisor in May 2020 who had not worked for the company for over two years, the tax debts had long since accumulated. Reinhard was forced to ask his parents for help to pay around 50,000 euros in taxes and fees. This support is no coincidence, because as managing director he was responsible, but completely unaware of what was happening.
In the video he published, Reinhard deals with his experiences and describes how he was exploited by Zaster. “He lied to me and held me responsible without me knowing anything about it,” said Reinhard. Other YouTubers, including famous names like Julien Bam and Rewinside, have also shared similar experiences with the couple. The case is spreading throughout the YouTube community and could also have legal consequences for Reinhard.
Legal dispute and further developments
The legal proceedings are in full swing. Reinhard has filed a lawsuit against Ms. Zaster in the hope of getting her initial deposit of 5,000 euros repaid. However, the allegations are firmly rejected by Ms. Zaster through her lawyer. “I did not sign any payments or documents on behalf of Reinhard,” she claims. It remains to be seen whether and when prosecutors will file charges, but the next court date is scheduled for November.
Reinhard is not the only one who knows how important it is to take legal action in a timely manner. For influencers in general—as well as for ChrisTezz—it is important to familiarize yourself with the legal framework, especially with regard to copyright and image rights. Based on the experience reports, the question arises as to how safe and transparent self-employment in the influencer sector really is. The Law firm KG highlights that there is no required training for influencers, but basic knowledge of professional media production and social media is essential.
What can we take away from this story? It's not just good ideas and creativity that you need to be successful in online business - it's also important to look at the legal aspects and your own business management. It remains to be hoped that Reinhard will soon be able to put this dark phase behind him and that his creative work will come to the fore again.
