Martin's Market in Dieburg: A festival for the senses and traditions!

The Martinsmarkt in Dieburg opens its doors today and is ringing in the contemplative season for the 39th time. From November 7th to 9th, visitors can look forward to a wide range of offerings, ranging from handicrafts to agricultural products to culinary delicacies. This traditional market attracts countless guests year after year to celebrate and feast together.

Particularly outstanding is the nostalgic Ferris wheel that stands in front of the town hall and on which young and old adventurers alike can have fun. Things also get exciting in Fechenbach Park: A historic medieval market with traditional crafts such as forging and glass blowing awaits visitors here. With a knight's camp and performances by musicians and jugglers, a very special atmosphere is created that brings the past to life.

Opening times and special features

The shops in Dieburg are open until 8 p.m. on Saturday, while on Sunday the doors are open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The market opens at 3 p.m. today and will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. A special highlight is the final concert in the city church of St. Peter and Paul, which is free on Sunday at 8 p.m.

Also to note: The mill tower opens today at 2 p.m. and offers guided tours. We recommend using the bus and train to get there, as there are good connections from Frankfurt/Offenbach district (RB 61) and Darmstadt/Aschaffenburg (RB 75). The walk from the train station to the city center is only a few minutes.

Parking options and arrival

Visitors can look forward to numerous free parking options, which are also available in paid spaces. The parking spaces include “Auf der Leer”, the skate park at the outdoor pool parking lot and the festival area in the castle garden, accessible via Konrad-Adenauer-Straße. However, due to construction work, Albinistrasse is closed, so you should plan to arrive early.

Whether young or old, the Martinsmarkt offers something for everyone and attracts people with its special flair. Don't miss the festival and enjoy the anticipation of the upcoming holidays in good company!
