The move of IGS Süd to the former Hessenkolleg in Bockenheim is now complete. However, there is still a big challenge ahead: the middle school will have to stay in Sachsenhausen until probably a year from now. A container facility is currently being built that offers space for all 600 students. Until the legal issues are clarified, the city is renting the school building from the state for an impressive 79,000 euros per month, of which 53,000 euros are ground rent. In the long term, the city plans to enter into the leasehold agreement with the Waisenhaus Foundation in order to acquire the site.
