The best works of art by young talents: Youth paints in Fulda in 2025!
The creative spirit of Hessian youth is upheld in Fulda! From August 1st to 31st, 2025, an exciting traveling exhibition will take place in the KARL concept department store, presenting the winning pictures of the “Youth Paints” competition. The Hessian Ministry of Science and Research and the Fulda Children's Academy have launched this competition to invite children and young people aged 6 to 16 to engage with the topic of “energy”. Today, on July 15, 2025, we look back on the impressive results that were honored at the award ceremony on July 1 in the Hessian state parliament in Wiesbaden, including by the Minister of Art and Culture Timon Gremmels and the President of the State Parliament Astrid Wallmann.
The topic of energy is exciting in many ways. No matter whether through everyday experiences, school challenges or hobbies - the children have understood how to interpret the term in a multifaceted way. 68 talented young artists made it into the exhibition. With many creative submissions from all over Hesse, the participants impressively demonstrated what energy means to them: strength, power and possibilities. The 2025 Science Year is entitled “Future Energy”, which further underlines the importance of the topic.
The talents at a glance
The works were evaluated in three age groups so that the chances were fairly distributed for all participants:
- 6 bis 8 Jahre
- 9 bis 12 Jahre
- 13 bis 16 Jahre
Five individual winners will be chosen in each age group, who can look forward to cash prizes. There were also two special prizes for school classes that submitted projects that were particularly worth seeing. This shows that the competition not only promotes individual artists, but also strengthens team spirit in schools.
Invitation to the exhibition
The traveling exhibition will not only showcase the winners' creative works, but also encourage a dialogue about energy in everyday life. The organizers cordially invite anyone interested to visit the show and be inspired. The creative works are a wonderful contribution to an important discussion that concerns us all.
