Free information event: Detect and treat colon cancer early!

On November 18, 2025, an exciting information event on the topic of “Colon cancer: prevention and therapy” will take place at the Fulda Clinic. From 5:00 p.m. the certified intestinal center of the Fulda Clinic and Director Priv.-Doz. Dr. Achim Hellinger warmly invites anyone interested to find out more about this common but easily treatable disease. The event is free of charge and registration is not required.

Colon cancer, one of the most common malignant diseases in Germany, has a high chance of recovery if detected and treated early. Dr. Ulrich Brauckmann, senior physician at the Medical Clinic II - Gastroenterology, will explain modern cancer diagnostics and the importance of regular preventive examinations. Afterwards, Dr. Ilka Roth, senior physician at the Clinic for General, Visceral, Endocrine and Oncological Surgery, will present current surgical procedures, in particular the robot-assisted surgical technique using the DaVinci system. Finally, Dr. Andreas Dickhut, senior physician at the tumor clinic, will discuss the molecularly targeted therapy options for colon cancer.
