What's happening in East Hesse this weekend? An exciting question for everyone who lives in the region or is planning leisure activities. The answer is colorful and diverse! From the oldest folk festival in Germany to the return of tattoo art – there is a lot happening in the region.
The Lullus Festival in Bad Hersfeld is without a doubt a highlight of the weekend. Until Monday, October 20th, visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the traditional celebrations. In addition to the spectacular fireworks and a variety of rides, there is a Punch and Judy show for the little ones and an exciting lollipop festival with live music from “Take Five” for those who want to celebrate.
Tattoo Convention in Alsfeld
Another highlight is the Tattoo Convention in Alsfeld, which will take place on October 18th and 19th in the Hessenhalle. Over 50 tattoo studios and more than 100 talented artists from Germany and abroad present their skills. Visitors can look forward to live music, spectacular show acts and current trends in the tattoo and piercing scene. You need a good hand not only when tattooing, but also when buying tickets, because children up to 14 years of age get in free!
Cultural highlights and festivals
The weekend has even more to offer! This will take place on Friday, October 20thAutumn concert of the Hesse State Youth Wind Orchestraat the State Music Academy in Schlitz. From 7 p.m., visitors can look forward to a varied program with dances from the Renaissance and rhythms from “West Side Story”.
Another cultural treat is theGospel night in the Propsteihaus Petersberg, which starts on Saturday, October 21st at 7:30 p.m. Four choirs including “VoiceControl” and “Vox Juventatis” make the auditorium vibrate. Admission is free, but it's worth getting there early because doors open at 7 p.m.!
