15 years of the Marburg-Biedenkopf care base: support for everyone!
On August 30, 2025, the Marburg-Biedenkopf nursing base will celebrate a special anniversary: its 15th anniversary! Founded in Marburg in 2010, the offering has developed rapidly since then. There is now not just one location, but three: in Marburg, Biedenkopf and Stadtallendorf. Around 5,000 consultations are carried out every year, a need that is obvious given the around 240,000 residents in the district and the over 22,000 people in need of care. These figures show how important the contact point is for those affected and their relatives. As Das Marburger reports, the need for support and information is high.
The target group of the care base includes people in need of care, their close relatives, people with disabilities and those who could be affected by disability in the foreseeable future. The offerings are extensive: from free housing advice to age-appropriate adjustments to information about financing options. By the way, the advice is independent and neutral - and the best thing about it? It's free! If desired, a home visit can even be arranged.
Comprehensive advice for everyone
The support of the nursing base goes far beyond simply providing information. In addition to providing advice on care classification and financing care services, the team also helps fill out applications. The offer includes the search for local relief and support offers as well as advice on outpatient and inpatient forms of care. This ensures that the topics of level of care and social benefits are easy to understand for everyone involved. Collaboration with various institutions in the areas of prevention, rehabilitation and care ensures that the right solution can be found for every situation. As can be read on Marburg-Biedenkopf, the care base also fulfills a legal mandate in accordance with Section 7 c of the Care Insurance Act.
Another important point: Those insured by long-term care insurance have a legal right to care advice. This also applies to caring relatives and volunteers who need support. The Federal Ministry of Health informs you that taking advantage of this advice is voluntary. After applying for benefits, those seeking advice will receive an offer for a consultation appointment within two weeks or can use a consultation voucher to use independent advice centers - also free of charge!
A place of support and information
The advice center in Marburg, located on “Am Grün” street, is not only home to the care center itself, but also other important facilities such as the geriatric planning specialist service and the Marburg-Biedenkopf Alzheimer Society. This combined expertise makes the location a central point of contact for anyone looking for support and advice in the care sector. It's good to know that there is an open ear for all concerns and you can always rely on getting the right support.
Age-appropriate, barrier-free and, above all, humane – that is the Marburg-Biedenkopf care base. If you haven't visited it yet, you should definitely do so. Anyone who needs help, whether as a relative or as a person affected, is welcomed here with open arms. At a time when the population is getting older, what this facility offers is more important than ever!
