Young heroes in competition: District decision by the youth fire brigades is enthusiastic!

The district decision as part of the national youth fire brigade competition shows the remarkable commitment of the young Floriansjüngers. Last weekend, 32 teams competed in Caldern and proved that they not only had a lot of skill, but also team spirit and passion. op-marburg.de reports that the competition consisted of two exciting parts: the firefighting attack, which focused on firefighting knowledge and practical skills, and the 400-meter relay race, which offered additional challenges such as rolling up a hose and coupling a jet pipe.

As is usual with the best team, the groups gave each other nothing. In the group ranking, the Amöneburg-Rüdigheim youth fire department prevailed by one point against its competitors from Wohratal and Kirchhain-Stausebach, which created some exciting moments. The Rauschenberg-Ernsthausen youth fire department also won the relay rankings. The girls' groups also performed well, with the girls' team from the Kirchhain-Langenstein youth fire department being at the top of the podium.

Good performance is rewarded

Due to their outstanding performance, the best teams qualified to represent the Marburg-Biedenkopf district at the state competition on August 31st in Lorsch. The next important date is already just around the corner: the acceptance of the performance clasp will take place in Wallau on September 6th and on August 30th there will be a day of action to mark the 50th anniversary of the district youth fire department at the Sophie von Brabant School in Marburg.

Competitions are an important platform for youth fire departments to demonstrate their skills. How jugendfeuerwehr.de explains, these events are not just a competition, but also a kind of team challenge that promotes cohesion and the skills of young people and is essential for recruiting young talent.

Another highlight recently took place in Hungen, where the district all-around competition took place on the sports grounds at the fire station. Here the participants of the Hungen-Bellersheim 1 youth fire brigade were able to secure first place with 1418 points. giessener-anzeiger.de reports that the biggest challenges at this event also had to be overcome in the form of firefighting attacks and relay races, which brought the teams even closer together.
