Farewell to Gunter Krämer: A milestone for the Odenwaldkreis Foundation
There is a touch of melancholy and gratitude in the Odenwaldkreis today, as three committed personalities were bid farewell at a ceremonial board of trustees meeting of the Sparkasse Odenwaldkreis Foundation: Gunter Krämer, Karlheinz Ihrig and Uwe Klauer. To the applause of those present, District Administrator Frank Matiaske, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Marco Laut, Deputy Chairman of the Sparkasse Odenwaldkreis, recognized the special achievements of Krämer and his colleagues. ODW Journal reports that Gunter Krämer has left as managing director of the foundation after making a decisive contribution to its commitment in the areas of education, culture, sport, social affairs and the environment over many years.
Krämer, who previously worked as head of marketing and market area manager at the Sparkasse, has made the foundation an important institution in the Odenwald district with his tireless efforts. His passion for the region and its people is particularly evident in his efforts to support projects in the areas of culture, education and the environment. Finally, the Sparkasse Board of Directors and Board of Trustees thanked Gunter Krämer for his decades of commitment.
The future of the foundation
With the farewell to Krämer, the foundation is handing over the business to Marc Monien, who will act as managing director in the future. Monien has been working in the savings bank organization for many years and knows the region very well. It will be interesting to see how he will continue Krämer's legacy. Karlheinz Ihrig and Uwe Klauer are also leaving the board of trustees and leaving big shoes to fill.
The foundation is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and has established itself as a valuable support for the people in the Odenwald district. Sparkasse Blog highlights that numerous institutions such as schools, kindergartens, clubs, social associations, churches and municipalities were able to benefit from the funding. Recently, for example, the Erbacher Hans-von-der-Au-Trachtengruppe e.V. was supported, which is actively committed to preserving customs through dance and song.
The traditional costume group sees itself as a cross-generational cultural ambassador and creates enthusiasm far beyond the borders of the Odenwald district with its performances in traditional costumes. Thanks to the foundation's support, the traditional costume group even received two new traditional costumes. Gunter Krämer was enthusiastic about this new acquisition and wished the group much success in their future performances.
A valuable legacy
The Sparkasse Odenwaldkreis Foundation will continue to play a central role in promoting projects and strengthening social engagement in the region. The legacy of Gunter Krämer and his colleagues lives on in the numerous initiatives and projects that the foundation supports. Visibly moved by the farewells and at the same time full of hope for the times to come, it remains to be said: The foundation is well positioned to continue to be an important partner for the people in the Odenwald district.
