A significant award was recently awarded in the Friedberg district house: The voluntary "therapy dog ​​teams" of the German Red Cross (DRK) are the proud winners of the Wetterau Social Award 2025. Around 100 guests took part, including the therapy dogs Frida and Luigi, which provided additional joy. The award ceremony, which was led by Marion Götz, the district deputy, emphasized the immense importance of the award winners for the community. Commitment to integration and participation

The members of the association "Intercultural Competence and Integration" (IKI) from Bad Nauheim received a special commission of 500 euros. This association has been committed to supporting refugees since its foundation in 2015. Iki is not only involved in the distribution of food, but also offers language courses, help in searching for apartments and support in dealing with the authorities and a job search. In the meantime, the association runs a second-hand department store and offers a lunch table for seniors.
