Strong together: support for those affected and their families

Dealing openly with the illness can be crucial in overcoming the challenges together. German Alzheimer's advises having family discussions about upcoming tasks and how to take on them. Friends are also often willing to lend a helping hand, especially if they are informed about specific offers of help. The range of support offers ranges from everyday support and advice to day care and household help.

The aim of all of these offers is to give both those affected and their relatives a piece of quality of life back. Nursing care insurance often covers many costs so that support does not become a financial trap for families and relatives. A good hand when using this help can make a big difference.
