The OHV Aurich is preparing impressively for the coming handball season and has introduced no fewer than seven new additions. Six of these new faces bring valuable experience from the first and second leagues, which only underlines the club's ambitions. Loud Handball World Fans can be particularly excited about Maximilian Bähnke, who is moving from regional league team TV Cloppenburg to Aurich. The versatile player previously played for TvdH Oldenburg and HSG Oldenburg/Grömitz.

Another notable addition is Vincent Kreiselmaier. The Luxembourg youth international was active in the VfL Gummersbach youth team and was temporarily sidelined due to a knee injury. Luke Stricker, who comes from HSG Nordhorn-Lingen and already has second division experience, also provides a breath of fresh air on the pitch. In addition, Torben Hübke, who is moving from third division club TBV Lemgo Lippe, is strengthening the team after previously training with Füchse Berlin.

International growth for Aurich

The new additions also include Pal Merkovszki, a 24-year-old US international who comes to Aurich from Hungarian first division club Budai Farkasok. Alon Oberman from Israel, who is moving from TVB Stuttgart to the Aurich team, is particularly planned for the left wing position. Finally, Strahinja Vucetic joins the team, an experienced player who comes from HC Burgenland and is supposed to strengthen the right back.

But OHV Aurich is not only making a name for itself when it comes to new additions. How NWZ Online Reportedly, five more players were signed who come from Hungary, Ukraine and Japan. It is planned that the new faces will get to know the fans in person, but the date for this has not yet been determined. The test games in the preparatory phase will take place behind closed doors, which should give the coaching team peace of mind to integrate the new players. The team's official presentation will take place on August 25th against the Dutch club “Hurry up” Zwartemeer.

Departures and contract extensions

In addition to the increases, Aurich also has recorded declines. Players such as Fynn Menne and Rade Radjenovic have already left the club, while managing director Jörg Schmeding emphasizes that these decisions were not made for financial reasons but related to the players' personal goals. Nevertheless, there is also good news: goalkeeper Marten Jungvogel, right winger Josip Crnic and backcourt player Petar Puljic have extended their existing contracts. A one-year contract was negotiated for Jannes Hertlein, while goalkeeper Edgars Kuksa and several other players even extended by two years.

For the new season, OHV Aurich has set itself the goal of finishing at least in fourth place in the table. With a strong mix of experienced and fresh talent, the club hopes to achieve this goal medically.
