At around 11:30 a.m., a masked young man entered the store and went straight to the checkout, where he threatened the cashier with a knife. The situation became tense when he demanded cash and the cashier complied with his order. The perpetrator stashed the stolen money in a bag he brought with him before escaping on a bicycle. Unfortunately, the search that was initiated immediately has so far been unsuccessful, and the Braunschweig criminal police have started investigations into predatory extortion, as Regional Today reported.
The description of the perpetrator is quite striking: He is around 180 cm tall and was wearing a black baseball cap and a matching black T-shirt and shorts. His face was also covered with a black scarf. The police are now appealing for witnesses who may have made observations in the area of the drugstore.
