Yesterday, on June 28, 2025, the Celle fire department alerted the emergency services at 5:06 p.m. due to unclear smoke coming from the roof of a residential building on Waldweg. At the scene, firefighters discovered that a shed was on fire. Fortunately, no one was in danger at the time of the fire, which eased the situation significantly. The fire was quickly extinguished using a C-pipe using breathing apparatus. The Celle-Hauptwache local fire department and the rescue service were involved in the operation. Meanwhile, in another region, the Großheide community fire department was alerted to a shed fire in Birkenweg in Südcoldinne at 2:18 p.m. On the way there was already a visible column of smoke. On site, the shed was ablaze and threatened to spread to the adjacent residential building. The emergency services quickly set up a barrier and initiated the fire-fighting attack with several teams using respiratory protection. At the same time, the water supply was set up in order to tackle the fire efficiently.
