Since Monday, April 7, 2025, federal highway 214 between Maasen and Sulingen has been completely closed. The reason for this? Renovation work on the road surface, which is coordinated by the Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Transport. The full closure is necessary to comply with occupational health and safety guidelines, which require a minimum distance of three meters from moving traffic. Duration and scope of the work

Diversion routes and traffic safety
To keep traffic flowing, diversion routes have been set up. Coming from the east, traffic is routed via the L 192 to Rethem and then via the B 209 to the B 215 in Nienburg.
