Storm and violence: Chaos on the weekend in the Heidekreis!

In the early morning hours of October 26, 2025, a storm broke out in Cologne, causing severe damage in the region. Numerous trees fell and blocked roads in the towns of Lünzen, Häuslingen, Emhof, Hermannseck and Dorfmark. The volunteer fire brigades were in constant use to clear the danger spots and lift the road closures. This situation posed a challenge for emergency responders, who had to act quickly and efficiently to ensure the safety of residents. Loud News.de The weather conditions this weekend were extremely unfavorable.

In another incident near Bispingen, police were called to a celebration at the Brunausee parking lot, where a physical altercation broke out between guests. A 20-year-old man from the Lüneburg area was injured but refused to seek medical help. During his tumultuous behavior, he even bit a 24-year-old police officer on the arm. The police ordered a blood test and initiated criminal proceedings for assaulting the officers. Further investigations into bodily harm are also being carried out.

Alcohol influence and road safety

Road traffic has been another hot topic recently. In Munster, for example, a 25-year-old driver without a license and under the influence of alcohol was checked. Here too, a blood sample was taken, which is standard practice in such a situation. This procedure is regulated by the current alcohol limit: there is a strict alcohol ban of 0.0 per mille for drivers up to the age of 21 and novice drivers in their probationary period. From 0.5 per mille it is a misdemeanor, and from 1.1 per mille driving is classified as a criminal offence, as shown on ADAC is explained.

A particularly drastic example occurred on the A7 when a 29-year-old driver from Hesse was checked with a breath alcohol level of 1.98 per mille. He had fresh accident damage to his vehicle, which led to criminal proceedings and the revocation of his driving license. His rash decision will cost him dearly.

The trail of crime

There were hotspots not only in traffic. In Bad Fallingbostel, supermarket employees reported three shoplifters who fled with stolen goods. One of them was caught in Walsrode, while the rest made off undetected. A chase ensued, which included excessive speeds, and the escapees' vehicle ultimately crashed. Here too, criminal proceedings were initiated.

A serious traffic accident occurred on the K 147 between Hodenhagen and Westenholz. A 19-year-old driver left the road and overturned his car. Both he and his 18-year-old passenger were seriously injured and taken to hospitals. The cause of the accident remains unclear.

In Schwarmstedt, a 27-year-old driver was checked for driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.9. Here too, further travel was prohibited and a blood test was ordered - it is clear that the police are particularly vigilant in such cases.

All of these incidents highlight the challenges facing security forces and highlight the importance of traffic and crime prevention. The police therefore offer information events, such as those recently held in Backnang, Waiblingen and Winnenden, to provide information about burglary protection and road safety. This is an important measure to increase public safety.
