Bovender SV gives Oberliga Hildesheim a hot fight!

Last Saturday, July 12, 2025, Bovender SV and VfV Hildesheim crossed swords as part of a test match. It was Bovender SV's second meeting with a top division team in just two weeks. Loud Göttingen Tageblatt The match was no walk in the park and demanded a lot from both teams.

After the game, coach Yannick Broscheit was satisfied with his team's performance, even if the result of 3-1 against Bovender SV didn't really shine. VfV Hildesheim took the lead early: Karsan Doski made it 1-0 in the 20th minute. Despite a few attempts, Bovenden was unable to equalize in the first half.

Game history and goals

The second half began with a change in the Bovender SV goal: Jan-Niklas Blum replaced Theodor Bachmann. This time the Bovenders found their way into the game a little better, but were unable to crack VfV's defense in the long term. In the 73rd minute, Mick Peter Gudra increased Hildesheim's lead to 2-0. However, the jubilant faces of the Hildesheim players didn't remain undisturbed for long, as just a minute later Dennis Falinski reduced the score to 1:2. But the final decision came in the 90th minute when Fred McMensah Quarshie made it 3-1 for Hildesheim.

The start of the season in the state league, which is scheduled for Bovender SV on August 9th against SVG Göttingen, will not be long in coming. Before that, however, there are two more test matches on the training schedule: on July 20th we will play against FSV Wolfhagen, and a week later Lichtenauer FV is expected.
