Current construction sites and traffic closures in Schleswig-Holstein!
The current traffic situation in Schleswig-Holstein is quite complex due to numerous construction sites and closures. According to [kn-online], information about the construction sites is provided on a daily basis so that drivers are always informed. With a total length of 9,874.557 kilometers, the road network in Schleswig-Holstein includes motorways, federal roads as well as state and district roads. The A1, A7, A21 and A23 motorways are particularly affected by extensive construction work.
What's new on the A1? Renovations are currently underway here between Eutin and Scharbeutz, and traffic routes are expected by the end of 2025. Traffic at the Bargteheide motorway junction will also be routed in two lanes - a situation that will remain in place until December 2025. The road renovation between Sereetz and Pansdorf will also last until the end of the year.
Construction sites on the A7 and A23
Let's continue to the A7: The Flensburg/Harrislee junction currently has to be closed until September 12, 2025. This also applies to sections between the Owschlag and Schleswig/Schuby junctions, where the closures will last until October 23rd.
The A23 also has construction sites. The Tornesch junction in the direction of Heide will be closed until September 4th and the Heide-West junction will remain completely closed until November 28th. In addition, night-time closures of this junction are expected until September 3rd.
Federal and state roads in view
Take a look at the federal highways: The B75 between Stubbendorf and Hamberge will be completely renovated by September 5th, while the B199 will be closed until September 12th due to renovations. A full closure between Hohn and Fockbek is necessary on the B202 until September 9th.
But the state roads are not standing still either. The L26 will be completely closed to traffic between Klein Waabs and Karlsminde until November 11th. The L50 will be closed between the B502 and the L211 near Schönberg until the end of September, and bridge renovation on the L83 must be completed by December 18, 2025.
Practical advice and support
Those responsible for the construction work and maintenance of the road network are the State Office for Road Construction and Transport (LBV.SH) and the respective city or municipal administrations. The LBV.SH takes care of the maintenance of the roads and the implementation of construction projects, while reports of road construction work or damage can be forwarded to the relevant authorities via numerous channels, such as on [kreis-stormarn].
This September in Schleswig-Holstein is not only characterized by the autumnal weather, but also by a variety of construction activities that are intended to ensure safe and modern road traffic. Drivers should be prepared to take detours if necessary in order to be able to plan their journey as best as possible.
