Sad farewell: Yvonne closes the fabric paradise in Osterholz!

In sad news for the residents of Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Yvonne Böhling-Fürst has announced that she will be closing her shop “Das Stoffparadies” in Haus am Markt in the fall. The exact closing date has not yet been set, but the decision is already on her mind. The long-time business owner notes that it is particularly difficult for her to say goodbye to the loyal customers who have become friends over the years. Her shop was located at Bahnhofstrasse 88 and 86 for several decades and not only offered a large selection of fabrics, but also sewing courses and individual advice. Weser Kurier reports that Böhling-Fürst ran the business for many years with her mother, who was just as popular with regular customers.

The reason for the closure is health problems that affect both Yvonne and her mother. As the closure approaches, Yvonne has already reduced her business hours and is now enjoying every Wednesday off. A sale has already started and the first prices are being reduced. There is still hope for loyal customers: unsaleable stocks can be purchased online so that the products they love are still available.

New section for the shop

Interestingly, a potential buyer for the store has already come forward. However, more details about what this potential successor would like to offer remain unclear. Yvonne Böhling-Fürst remains hopeful for future business development that is more compatible with her health situation. She said that she always had a good knack for special pieces and that perhaps she could be successful again in a different form.

For those who don't yet know the colorful world of sewing and fabrics: There are also other options in the region. For example, my fabric store offers a large selection of standard fabrics, which are supplemented with seasonal goods several times a year. The range ranges from plain cotton fabrics to exciting patterns that are suitable for both children and adults. In addition to a variety of cotton for patchwork fans, the range also includes artificial leather, felt, tablecloths, upholstery fabrics and many other products. Mein Stoffhaus also promises an extensive range of sewing accessories, which includes threads, needles and even Burda patterns.

Health is important, and while Yvonne Böhling-Fürst may be retiring from her fabric paradise station, one can only hope that she will soon find a way to revive her passion for sewing and the fabric market in a different form.
