244 first graders start in Rinteln: Road safety is becoming more important!
In Rinteln, school finally starts on Saturday, August 16th for 244 little ABC shooters. A big step for the children, who will eagerly flock to the four local primary schools with their new school bags and colorful school bags to start school. This is a significant event that heralds a new phase in life for many children, in which they not only have to learn to read and write, but also have to master the rules of going to school. The city administration has prepared well for the newcomers to the school world. In collaboration with the German traffic police, it has installed straps near the schools to draw attention to the new traffic situation. SZLZ reports.
Enrollment is spread across these four primary schools:
There is great anticipation and Mayor Andrea Lange has also spoken out. She appeals to all road users to be particularly careful near schools and residential areas, as many first graders are also new road users. Rinteln currently underlines the importance of these security measures.
A wide range of care for everyone
The city of Rinteln has organized an extensive care program at all primary school locations. This goes beyond regular teaching times and includes all-day care until 5 p.m. as well as early care. This particularly supports families and single parents who are particularly dependent on a flexible offer. A positive development that also benefits the Ukrainian refugee children who are integrated into the schools: A total of 15 Ukrainian refugee children are enrolled in the various school locations, which shows how important primary school attendance is in order to give children back security and social structures in difficult life situations. UN refugee aid informed that almost 20% of refugees are children of primary school age.
All in all, the start of school in Rinteln will be an exciting event not only for the first graders, but also for parents and teachers. Preparations are in full swing to ensure that everyone is well supported in their new phase of life. The start of school is not only the beginning of a new chapter, but also a common challenge that challenges and connects everyone involved. A good reason to party hard on Saturday!
