Security risk drones
Under the regulations, drones are banned within a 1.5 kilometer radius of airports as they pose a serious security risk. The authorities are reacting quickly because violations of this ban can be punished as dangerous interference with air traffic. The German Air Traffic Control (DFS) reported that four obstructions caused by drones had been documented at Bremen and Hanover airports by the end of August 2025.
