Integration is underway: Big sports event in Friesland and Wittmund!

The countdown to the sporting highlight of the year has begun: The attractive “Integration is running” event will take place in Friesland and Wittmund on October 11th and 12th, 2025. Organized by the district sports association Friesland and Wittmund as well as the coordination offices for migration and participation in the two districts, this campaign sends a strong signal for tolerance, diversity and cohesion. NWZonline reports that all citizens feel warmly invited to take part in the running and walking campaign.

The special thing about the event is that participants can decide for themselves which route they want to run, at what pace and at what time. This not only ensures flexibility, but also a personal touch. Anyone who registers quickly can also benefit from a free starter package - the first 300 registrations can look forward to this exclusive surprise. A free starting number is available for all other participants. Registration is easy online via the website integrationlaeuft.de or possible by telephone. The registration deadline is set for September 12th.

The event is taking place for the seventh time in Wittmund and the fifth time in Friesland. This year, too, the motto is “For!” – for openness, diversity and a shared tomorrow. The concept not only promotes sport, but also a sense of community among the participants. This also includes an online photo gallery that is intended to capture the participants' best moments and make them more visible. Integration is ongoing This makes it an important everyday event that brings people from different backgrounds together and promotes open cooperation.

In addition, a photo competition will be organized in which participants can submit their best snapshots and have the chance to win fame, honor and a surprise.
