On July 1, 2025, DHL customers can expect some important changes to international shipping. How fr.de reported, price adjustments will be introduced that will particularly affect private customers. A crucial point is the new structuring of international shipping. Parcels are now divided into eight country zones, which is intended to increase price transparency. Price adjustments and new products
But it's not just the prices that are increasing significantly. DHL is also introducing a new product: the “DHL Parcel up to 2 kg” for shipping outside the EU, which is only available online. Customers can now also use the “Mobile Parcel Brand” via QR code for shipments to non-EU countries. The online discount of 1.50 euros or three euros per shipment remains.
A shock for many will be the loss of the popular “Premium” service for international packages, as well as the removal of the included insurance of up to 50 euros for international packages. The price increases for roll-shaped shipments will also be significant: a surcharge of 3.99 euros in the branch or 1.99 euros for online franking will apply.

These changes come into effect not only for international shipping, but also for national shipments. The Federal Network Agency has already approved these changes, and many customers will have to adapt to the implementation of the new prices, especially for shipments in zones 4 to 8, where the price adjustments sometimes reach double digits.
